New Obsession
My latest obsession is Vintage Pyrex, I've been lusting after the Vintage Pyrex for quite sometime. But first a little update on my Black Friday shopping. While I didn't score those perfect mirrors very similar to the ones from Little Green Notebook { kicking myself for not snatching them up the minute I saw them } I did my score my first piece of Vintage Pyrex for $ 1.99 !! Thanks to the Black Friday deal at our local Salvation Army. I'm in love with this bowl, the detail on the side is flawless and the prettiest shade of turquoise. The bowl is called Amish Butterprint.
I checked out Ebay to see if I could score dome more Vintage Pyrex, they eBay sellers have a huge selection of Vintage Pyrex. Right now I'm really into finding the vintage mixing bowls. Here are a few sets that caught my eye.
I wish Pyrex would start making this darling bowls and bake ware sets again!! What's your newest obsession?

I love vintage Pyrex, too (although am not lucky enough to own any). Great score!
ReplyDeletethose are really, really cute! i can't wait to have my own home to decorate!
ReplyDeleteglad i stumbled upon your blog. i see we both live in northern cali :)
serioiusly love it all!
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate your site and your efforts to share, but your images are consistently horrendously blurry, pixelated, and distorted.
ReplyDeleteWhy not take more care in posting images? You compromise your relevance as a blogger when you don't take your blog seriously enough to at the very least post pictures that aren't blurry or distorted.
Please post images that don't make me feel dizzy.
I know the love of vintage Pyrex! The are the only kind I use for cereal bowls! I grew up eating out of them, and normal bowls just don't give me the optimal amount of eats!
ReplyDeleteI make my mom keeping an eye out for sets whenever she goes to flea markets!
Oh these are all so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLuvs!
I remember my mom had a blue and white bowl like the one in the first image. Those pics really brought back memories, they are really charming pieces.

ReplyDeleteI a few of these vintage pyrex, I pick them up at garage sale when I find them, but my obsession at the moment is brass. I can't seem to get enough of it.
ReplyDelete@ Champagne Taste, your logic is flawed. Furthermore, you claim it's an insult because you're too young to understand the value of constructive criticism.
ReplyDeleteI don't doubt that you see my comment as an "insult", where as a business-minded blogger who has a "Sponsors" column on their DESIGN blog, can appreciate my comment as what it is: constructive criticism. So my comment is to her, not to you.
Bloggers don't grow without feedback and constructive criticism from their readers; and they certainly don't grow when they're surrounded by simple-minded "yes men", such as yourself, who yelp "foul" or "hater" whenever constructive criticism is presented.
So you, in fact, are the one who can "keep it moving". And you're with child? You're an example of the ignorant, immature, simple-minded generation having babies today. God help you.
This is too funny!! I was just checking out some cute vintage pyrex the other day myself! I found this swiss alpine pattern on both pyrex and vintage china pieces and am just in love!

ReplyDeleteMrs Chic my sister-in-law and I were thrifting today and I came across a few. A few women were eyeing them as well asking if they still made them and I thought of your post. I sware my great grandma had every color you could think of. Email me your address and the next time I go rummaging through her antiques I'll snag up a few. They are just going to get donated. I'd rather them go to someone who appreciates them :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you scored your first piece! As of late, my obsession is for all things white. I am hoping to find lots more white and even a hint of gold for my formal living and dining space. Good luck with your hunt!
ReplyDeleteThose are so pretty...
