Solution for a Gloomy Day

Saturday, January 9, 2010

It's been gloomy all week in No. California, my solution for gloomy days are fresh flowers. On the way home last night I stopped in Trader Joes. They have some of the best selections for fresh flowers at low prices. I picked up some long stem snapdragons for the dining room for only $4.99. The fresh flowers worked like a charm.

I even had flowers left over for a little vase a bought a few months ago at a thirft store.

  1. Very pretty! I love the colors. Snapdragons are something you don't see very often. Fresh flowers are a good idea... it's very cold and gloomy around here!

  2. Congrats on picking up new followers! Everytime I stop by there's always new people--way to go! I love Trader Joe's, too. Do you eat shrimp? If so, you HAVE to try the tempura shrimp in the freezer section. They are delish, and I'm very funny about frozen fried food. Yum--just like a Japanese restaurant! Let me know if you ever try them out. :)

  3. I really should do this. In the summer I cut our hydrangeas, but our summer is only about 2 months....so I should find a cold month alternative!
