I just adore this nursery, the pretty birds on the wall that fly up the ceiling, the simple roman shades and the two tone crib. I also like the contrasted piping on the chair and simply stated chandelier. The only thing I don't like is the tree, I just think painted tress are so much prettier.

If, you are or were having a little one, what colors would you want in your babies nursery?

Oh this is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI always thought I would use pink in my little girl's room but ended up wanting to move away from pink and use it more as an accent color... My husband spent a total of 15 hours painting the tree on the wall in her room. Heres the link so that you can check it out :)... I do have to add new pics though we have other curtains and pillows etc...

If and when I have a little girl *wink wink*! I would LOVE this space! I think this tree is a great touch because it adds another dimension to the room. And plus, EVERYONE has done the painted tree;-). I'm going to save this to my nursery files!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I'm liking the more gender-neutral colors for nurseries that seem to be popular right now. But this purple is soooooo lovely.
ReplyDeleteDecor - Thanks for sharing your nursery, your husband did such a wonderful job painting the tree for your daughters nursery. It looks so pretty, I like her crib too!
ReplyDeleteMrs Duncan - a little girl would be such a blessing to your boys and your family!! There's to many men in my fam: husband, son and dog! lol A little girl would be lots of fun :)
I used a pale green for my son. It wasn't anything elaborate but it was very cool and calm. There are so many cute ideas out there now for how to decorate that I had no clue about then.
ReplyDeleteI love purple. My wedding colors were eggplant purple, white, and some lavender purple here and there. :) Our master bathroom will go dark purple, if we can find the right color!
ReplyDeleteAs for nursery.. I think orange and white would be fun for a boy! Ask me again in two years :)
I swear, everyone around me is having babies! So it has been on my mind a lot. I think i would do one wall with a cute wallpaper and the rest of the walls a neutral buttercup color. I am not a fan or blue and pink rooms.
ReplyDeleteI'd really like to do an aqua room with red or yellow accents. Something less gender-specific and not all primary colors or all pastels. But, we'll see how my mind changes when a baby actually comes.
ReplyDeleteI'm usually not a fan of purple, but I like this nursery, a lot. I've reached my max at 3 kiddos though... The Ward Baby Farm is closed for business, lol!
ReplyDeleteWhen we moved to our first house I was pregnant with our first, but the previous owners also just had a baby. I didn't really have the money to tear down/replace the wallpaper and it was cute, just not my first choice. I would love to have had a pretty lavender room like this when my daughter was born. I have made up for it over the years though-she has had soooo many bedding sets!
ReplyDeletethis is sooo pretty! i would love to decorate a room for a girl...and dressing her would be so much fun too!
ReplyDeleteAdorable - love it!!1 I think baby rooms just does it for me!!

pale violet is so calming, i agree, like the idea of a painted tree.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with regarding the tree. Pretty fugly. How pretty would it have been had they painted it. You could do one of the rambling, old oak trees we have in Northern Cali. Little girl rooms are so fun to create.
ReplyDeleteI recognize all this nursery stuff, it's from Serena and Lily. I would use a light green and white to be gender neutral. But, I do love the idea of Lilac!
