Chic Little House: French Door Inspirations

As I mentioned last week in our home is undergoing some floor plan changes, one of those changing is adding french doors to our bedroom. French doors, where always on my wish list, so its still surreal to know we are getting the. I'm really excited about this change and have been pinning pretty french door bedroom ideas for months. In our bedroom our french doors will be apart of our new bathroom and closet addition, between the two areas to be exact. I'll share the layout for new bedroom layout soon. Here's some french doors in bedrooms that are fabulous. This bedroom is a show stopped, I adore everything in this room.

In addition to looking at inside french door inspiration, I've also gathered inspiration for how I want our french doors to look in our backyard. My plan is to have them open to our backyard and step down to a small patio (maybe concrete with brick? or paver patio?) that will lead to our bigger patio. The patio addition is something we might add after the house is complete. I love the inspiration picture below, and can see the image coming to life in our backyard maybe this summer.

I can't wait to see how our french doors in our bedroom turn out, again I'll share our new bedroom layout soon. What's an item on your bedroom wish list?

I love all the images you shared. We having sliding glass doors in our dining room. I have always wanted to swap them for french doors. Hopefully we can make it happen this summer. Good luck with yours.

Love all the inspiration photos! I love the light fixture/chandelier in the first photo! An item on my bedroom wish list is a bigger bedroom :) but since that is will not happen for a while I want a new headboard (upholstered).

I love French doors. I've been wanting to add a couple sets to our home for a while now. I'm really excited to see how yours are incorporated into your new bedroom. Can't wait to see it. All the changes are going make for some pretty amazing results!

That French door idea of yours from the backyard view seems so romantic. I wish you'd post some after images on how it looks, especially when that patio is lightened up by the pair of lights on both sides of the French doors that you've mentioned. This type of door has significant role in creating an impression of what lies beyond. So amazing!

I'm a very idealistic person and french doors are very romantic! Don't you think so? I usually see french doors in romantic movies; where the girl opens the door and sees the boy on the other side. Having your own patio connected to your bedroom is a very nice idea! It would even be better if there would be an array of flowers welcoming you! French doors, for me, gives that illusion of there's always something better is waiting for you on the other side.
