I'm so happy its Friday, time for me to starting tackling my next DIY project! I recently finished our campaign dresser I shared a few weeks back, it turned our lovely! I'll share it early next week. I think refinishing the campaign dresser gave me my DIY mojo, back so to speak, lol and has me excited to start my next project. Over the weekend, I have a few projects I want to start and tackle. First up, I'm going to recover Avery's existing roman shades with new the fabric I shared a weeks ago. I'm so looking forward to pulling out my sewing machine and getting to work. I guess its also time I bought an iron, yup still without an iron [ its those little things you forget about until something comes up, lol]
I love the graphic & colorful impact of the patterned roman shades below in this kids bedroom, which provided me with a lot of inspiration to just go for it.
Speaking of sewing projects, during the week I start sewing a few pillows for our sofas. I still need to make a quick trip to Ikea and buy several inserts [ maybe Sunday?] The fabric below will become pillows for our living room sofa, I'm still planning to add a few geometric prints into the mix, you can read more about my living room ideas here
Next, we need to decide on what color to paint our master bathroom vanity, we bought a vanity style we love, just needs a little tweaking to 'make it more us'. More details to come next week.
Quick recap of what I'm planning to get started on and accomplishing!
- Customize Roman Shades
- Start sewing pillows and drapes
- find the perfect paint color for our master bathroom vanity
Can't wait to share the campaign dresser makeover next week, I'm so freaking happy with how it turned out.
Are you working on any projects this weekend?
Sounds like you are going to be super busy this weekend. I have nothing planned but my growing pile of laundry that I have been putting off all week. :)
ReplyDeleteFun fun! Lots of projects on the horizon. I cannot wait to see your dresser.
ReplyDeleteI have some projects to do this weekend. And a bridal shower, which I have yet to buy a gift for. =)
That fabric is bright and cheery! Great choice!
ReplyDeleteThanks Joi! The first roman shade came out so perfect! I'll be sharing the roman shade this week! :)
DeleteI love the punchy graphic prints! Can't wait to see your spaces when you have everything completed! My husband and I are working to spruce up our much neglected back porch this weekend. With the 98 degree heat here, I'm not really looking forward to the labor. Just wish we could fast-forward to the finish line. :)
