So now its time to move things back in side for a bit and focus on the inspiration I used for our kitchen design. Basically I wanted to design a mini dream kitchen on a mini budget.
My Mini Dream Kitchen Wish List: White Wood Cabinets that go all the way to the ceiling. A mixture of glass door cabinets & solid cabinet doors. Stainless steal wall mount hood, White Subway tile and floating shelves.Light kitchen counters in either Solid Surface or Quartz & 'U' Shape kitchen instead of our old L shape with a floating fridge layout. Not to much to ask for, right?
I love glass doors in kitchens, they bounce so much light around and dress up the look of everyday dishes & glass

I love this snapshot of this kitchen. lovely wall mount hood, subway tile that goes all the way up and floating shelves. I love the how well glass doors and floating shelves work together! I would love floating shelves for cake stands, pretty mixing bowls & cookbooks.

A little birdie told me our kitchen may be getting installed late this week (Friday maybe?) or early next week. I can't wait to see the kitchen all come together!

I love the idea of adding glass front cabinets. It will be so nice to be able to see all your new pretty dishes.
ReplyDeleteI love the gray cabinetry of the last photo. We need to do a total overhaul of our kitchen. Everything must go. My hubby doesn't like white cabinets so we were looking at stains or colors, just no white. I also like mixing glass door fronts with solid ones. I have that now and that will be included in our redo, one day.

DeleteOooh the suspense is killing me!!! Hmmm in terms of my dream kitchen wish list the biggest thing for me would have to be a wall of windows and French doors leading to a small cooking garden space. I love love love a ton of light in a kitchen so my dream space would have a huge bank of windows preferably where the sink is. And I love to garden so having a small patio or breezeway where I can grow herbs and veggies to cook with right off the kitchen would be a dream come true. I can't wait to see your kitchen!

DeleteMy dream kitchen is an old French inspired one, I love the apron sinks, that is a must with natural light that helps to show off the must have subway tiles in a frosted glass or a diamond shaped tile in green and frosted glass. I simply must have white cabinets with glass fronts on the upper and all drawers on the bottom cabinets near the stove. I love a large curved hood with a 5 or 6 burner range. I'm sure your kitchen is going to be fantastic!
