I also like the Marcel Mini Sofa from Pottery Barn, not as much as the clean lines for the West Elm settee

Now for some further lusting, I adore how these settees look in homes. More on the feminine side as far as the shape goes.

I pretty much like the entire room below!! The tufting on the settee is divine. The blueish secretary desk is a amazing, the drapes the fabric on the chair the area rug!! Wow I just love how well the colors live together.

Of course the ultimate dream would be to purchase and amazing settee off my beloved Craigslist for next to nada then have it reupholstered in amazing fabric and make then make some pretty pillows for it. Unfortunately I've been coming up empty handed on my local Craigslist.
What piece of furniture have you been lusting after for your home?

Ahh, my lust list is long. As far as furniture goes, I'd like sofas that have cleaner lines (kind of like the West Elm settee!) and a new breakfast room table - something Saarinen-esque but a lot less pricey. :)
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted a settee. Between your post and Get It Girls post today I'm about ready to change my entire living room.
ReplyDeleteI'm lusting after a funky side table for my living room seating area. Tired of my boring glass table I've had for way too long that used to be my bedroom nightstand.

I LOVE baby sofas! This would be adorable in a bedroom. I can't wait to see what you have done in there!
ReplyDeleteI love that tufted one. I typically think settees are too traditional for my house, but the west elm version is very contemporary. It would look great.
ReplyDeleteKate, I agree while I love the tufted look I also feel its to formal for my home. Hoping the CL gods drop love my way with a mid century modern settee! One can dream right :)
ReplyDeleteoh i love the one with the wood trim. beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI just love the first picture....all that grey!!! i want that whole look to appear in my den! thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLoving the paisley one. Any of those would be perfect for a guest room or even in a master bedroom if there was space.
ReplyDeleteI've been lusting after chairs for my great room for about a year-just ordered them about 3 weeks ago though. Can't wait!
How fun are these? I have been on the hunt for the perfect chair for the master bedroom and so far have come up empty handed. So the search continues!
ReplyDeleteOh my these are all so gorgeous!!! I have been pining over a cool office chair!!
ReplyDeleteLuvs!
I absolutely love the furniture in these pics, I need a sofa and would love to add an ottoman and bench to our media room, I am lusting after a few pieces I have seen. I need a sideboard for our formal dining room, a dresser for our master, and two armless chairs for the formal living area.
ReplyDelete...that yellow and white sette...OMG! Perfection.
ReplyDeleteI love the way these look, but I don't know if I would ever sit on them for any length of time. I have a Rowe sofa being made for my tv room right now - can't wait to get it in a couple weeks!!
ReplyDeleteJust stumbled on your blog, Katrina--
ReplyDeleteWe too are dreaming of a settee (although we've given it the less genteel name of 'dining sofa')for our kitchen. It would need to be tall enough and firm enough to provide comfortable seating at the table, but inviting enough to offer a place to linger with a newspaper and a latte. For ease of access it should have fairly small armrests. I think that last tufted one on your post would be ideal if the seat were high enough. We're just beginning our kitchen so we'll have a while to find the perfect thing.
We just commented on craig easy! Now were commenting and following your blog as well.
ReplyDeleteHope we win to have a spot on craig easy.
Also we would love to feature you too. Hope to hear from you.
Same here although the whole bed bug thing has come to Nashville so my dreams of finding a sofa on Craig's and upholstering it myself are no more =(
ReplyDeletei love that last room, just saved it to my files!
ReplyDeletehope you're feeling better!
i love that room and color as well.
ReplyDeletei love that yellow settee. really nice.
i like bright and bold colors. it does something to a dull room.
