There are two types of faucets that I just LOVE and I'm tore between the two. I love the classic timeless look of a bridge faucet, they are just oh so pretty. Then I also love the sleek goose neck style of the pull down facet, not to mention how extremely easy it makes filling large pots and washing dishes. Here's a better look at the two styles.

It's hard to judge how pretty a faucet is without seeing it in kitchens, here's how the facet styles look in kitchens. Up first the Bridge Facet. I love these faucets, but they are be very pricey!! I've seen some upwards for 1K, no thanks :) That's our whole counter top budget, thank you very much, lol. But I have seen some more affordable options at Lowes for under $ 150.00 much better pricing.

Next up is the Pull Down style faucet. I do love how sleek Pull Down faucets are, and love that they require less holes in the counter top, and preform double duty as a sprayer.

What style faucet to do your prefer in your kitchen? Have you recently upgraded your kitchen facet, if so what style did you go with?

Those were the two styles we considered when redoing our kitchen. We wound up with the pull down single hole style since it was cleaner/sleeker and you control the temp with one lever rather than 2 handles. I do love the bridge though and maybe one day we'll have one in our dream home.
ReplyDeleteI agree the Pull Down Faucets look so sleek! :)
DeleteWe have a pull down faucet and I love it! It saves soo much space and the height is a real plus. I'm sure you will make a great choice! Good luck on the demo!
ReplyDeleteI like the sleek look of the pull down faucet. I love that sink in the first pic too!
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with the super industrial pull-down faucets with the coil around them (like in the second picture) - so gorgeous! I think the bridge faucets are beautiful too, but I think the functionality of the pull-down faucets can't be beat!
ReplyDeleteI have a pull-down faucet. I like it because it has one lever to control temp, like another gal on here.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I'm getting a lot of likes for Pull Down Faucets! :)
DeleteWith my reno, I'm going with a wall mounted faucet. I hate keeping on top of the gunk that builds up around the faucet. My problem with Pull Down is that my husband always leaves it hanging loose and never makes sure that it is retracted fully. I don't know if more expensive faucets have some way to retract itself fully.
ReplyDeleteI've seen seen so many pretty wall mounted bridge faucets, love. But in my house we'd have to change out the plumbing not fun. We do have a bridge wall mount faucet in our garage - its old and not pretty, lol
DeleteI was going to go with the bridge faucet at first because of the first picture in the bridge section, but when I saw the first faucet in the pull down section I changed my mind! It is a mixture of classic and modern with the round details.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
I like the pull down faucet best. It's sleek appearance suits me best. I think the bridge faucet is fussy.
ReplyDeleteI adore the look of the bridge faucets. It's a really classic look. With that said, we went with a pull down faucet in our kitchen and it's awesome. It's really practical and sleek and easy to keep clean. (No cleaning underneath it and such.) I'm lazy so that makes it perfect for me.
ReplyDeleteWe are in the process of shopping for a new faucet right now as well. We are opting for a pull down with the coil around it. We really love the modern look and industrial feel of them. Plus, i really llike the practicality of being able to move it wherever i may need it.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of vintage kitchen appliances mixed with modern elements. I think my favorite faucet style is a pull down single handle with a sink that pops! I have a porcelain farmhouse sink with a pull-down faucet (from MR Direct) and I LOVE the look. Thank you for sharing these photos.
