Next we just need to determine how long we light to hang from the ceiling. In the above picture its hard to tell, but the lighting is centered his bedroom. I can't wait to see this light in action at night. We opted to put all our bedroom lighting on dimmers again along with our living / dining lighting, so his light won't be crazy bright.
What do you think of Avery's happy lighting for his bedroom?

Love it, and you're right - go with what makes you happy! I would put it pretty darn close to the ceiling - you don't want to worry about heads banging on the light while you're playing.
ReplyDeleteHi Liz, Thanks, it's so cute in his room. We decided to raise it almost all the way so it only hangs down an 3-4 inches or so.
DeleteLove it! It looks great! I am with Liz to hang it close to the ceiling. We had to do this in our boys room, we didn't want them to feel enticed to hang from their light...boys will be boys!
ReplyDeleteVery fun, love it! Never get sick of lighting, they bring so much to a room :)
ReplyDeleteAvery's new light fixture is so pretty and looks great hanging in his room. I agree with Liz and Darnetha, I'd hang it close to the ceiling too.
ReplyDeleteLoved your Insta-sneak-peak...and I loooove this post too! Your choices are perfect! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the light. My son actually told me that he wants it for his room!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a fun light for a boys room!
DeleteSuch a great project! So creative!
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun light; perfect for a little boy's room. But not in a kiddie way. I'm so excited to see your house when you can move back in. I just know it will look fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Amanda, getting so close to moving home! I'm super excited. Isn't the light fun! It's super bright too in the daytime, so glad we put it on a dimmer lol :)
